Our client is the owner of multiple upscale restaurants in the Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach and Atlantic Beach area and is now accepting applications for the position of Sous Chef.
We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the culinary team as a Sous Chef.
You will make a difference in the lives of residents and visitors to Jacksonville Beach and surrounding areas by using fresh ingredients to create nourishing meals.
BENEFITS Competitive Pay of $50,000-$55,000 salary Possibility for bonuses Health and Dental provided Responsibilitiesof this position would include but not be limited to:
Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef Must work 50-60 hours per week on average The successful candidate will:
Possess a minimum of one year of experience in a commercial restaurant Demonstrate the ability to provide the highest level of culinary service and professional interaction to our guests and associates Work well in a fast-paced environment, be organized, flexible, and self-motivated by Jobble Recommended Skills Cooking Food Preparation Restaurant Operation Self Motivation Workstations Grilling Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
